Insignificant Lives

The experience of the Sixth War in the Middle East has so far confirmed that despite being “human”, the lives of the victims of this war including the Israeli soldiers are insignificant. It has also confirmed that human rights can be suspended particularly when they are needed for the sake of an exceptional state of war- the “terror” on terror. I am afraid that the quest for a new Middle East has turned into a conquest and that the American captain has lost his compass.
